Strawberries. Lovely, red juicy strawberries. They’re killers. In the news this week, forty people, so far, have been laid low by smoothies containing frozen strawberries from Egypt. More cases are expected to turn up.

Here’s a story idea for someone who’s good at writing about politics. Both the Republican and Democratic candidates for president are, for one reason or another, disqualified. The US approaches the presidential election with no one to vote for. Does the sitting president get another term? Or does the country manage to struggle along without a president?
